EMINEM, “I’m Going To F*cking Die.” – INTERVIEW In ‘How To Make Money Selling Drugs’ (VIDEO)

“My organs were shutting down. My liver, my kidneys, everything (during an overdose). They were gonna have to put me on dialysis. They didn’t think I was going to make it. My (rock) bottom was going to be death…

Within a month, I had relapsed, and started taking the same amount of pills again. I remember walking around my house, thinking every single day that, ‘I’m going to f*cking die’. I’m looking at my kids and I’m like, ‘(But) I need to be here for this’. Coming off of everything, I literally was up 24 hours a day, for three weeks straight. And I mean not sleeping, not even nodding off, for a f*cking minute. I had to regain motor skills. I had to regain talking skills. It’s been a learning process. I’m growing. I just couldn’t believe that anyone could be naturally happy, and naturally functioning, or enjoying life in general, without being (high) on something.” – EMINEM

SCARFACE – “2 The Beat” (from the ‘Dopeman Music’ Mixtape) Lisa Ford’s Top IPOD Pick (VIDEO)

SCARFACE, the REAL King of the South, dropped a bonafide classic album that remains in heavy rotation on my Ipod. He’s certainly one of my top 10 rappers of all time. Lyrically, Scarface sets the bar that is rarely matched. Case in point, this ‘2 The Beat’ joint. It’s raw unadulterated hip hop…no autotunes or studio tricks, just a classic flow embedded in classic storytelling. I hope everyone had a chance to download the ‘Dopeman Music’ album because Face brutally murders this beat and all the other tracks. It’s definitely a real street album. I love every cut. No doubt.

This is just a quick post sharing that new NAS & J. COLE joint. Nas is the Rapper of Rappers, and he always surprises me with how lyrically nice he’s getting with age. Relevance, intelligence, elegance, Nas embodies what Hip Hop should be appreciated for. The original version of this song sent a chill up my spine due to the honesty. This version warmed my heart. Glad Nas received it well and threw a verse on it of reassurance. This is great stuff. Props

300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE – (Official Trailer)

If you’re a fan of the first “300” movie, then news of the sequel, “300: Rise of an Empire”, should put a smile on your face. The new action-thriller focuses on the battle of Salamis (Persian fleet vs Greek fleet) near Athens in the sea. The Greek general, Themistocles, battles an invading army of Persians under the mortal-turned-god, Xerxes. Xerxes had already defeated the first “300” men.

I’m not sure how the film will play out, because historically, Themistocles, was ultimately exiled from Greece, many years after the war. Of course, since the focus of the movie is on the battle against the Persian navy, there will be lots of blood, gore, and powerful special effects…all the things that makes this franchise exciting. So regardless of the specific plot, the film will be unforgettable.

When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)—reborn as The Mother F%&*^r—only the blade-wielding Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.”
