Check out the trailer for “Black Dynamite” the animated series coming to Adult Swim Sunday, July 15th! (at 11:30pm) A fan of the show stated, “Apparently, Afro Samuri and The Boondocks had a baby…. AND IT WAS BLACK DYNAMITE!!!!! LOL.” I agree. For all of us who need our ‘Boondocks’ fix, “Black Dynamite” will do just fine. Actors, Michael Jai White, Byron Minns, Tommy Davidson and Kym Whitley reprise their 2009 film roles as Black Dynamite, Bullhorn, Cream Corn and Honeybee, respectively. Like the movie, the show is predominantly a parody of and tribute to blaxploitation cinema and its cult fans are extremely excited.

The cult classic spoofing blaxploitation follows Black Dynamite, an ex-CIA agent kung fu master and full time ladies man take the fight to “The Man” from the blood filled streets straight to the “honky”house – he is, as one of the characters described him, a super n**ga. It was one of the funniest movies of 2010 thanks to it’s authenticity and underlining respect for the genre which can be accredited to Black Dynamite himself, Michael Jai White, Byron Minns and Scott Sanders the director.
