Niggaz4Life, influenced everyone who calls themselves ‘gangster’ rappers. They are every part of rap music designing a style that launched a movement. They provided the framework for rap music to say the least…and they never sold out. They kept it the same way on every album…rugged and raw. You can tell that they really took their time making this album good, rather than tossing in filler tracks. There is no denying the ruggedness of tracks like “Real Niggaz Don’t Die,” “Alwayz Into Somethin’,” and the title track. They even have skits within the body of the songs, something nobody does today. N.W.A., through their raunchiness, worked hard, and expressed pure art through music. Having Dr. Dre behind the boards with DJ Yella makes for a slamming combination of energy and grit. Though this album would be NWA’s last as a group, it helped NWA strengthen the role the group played in bringing West Coast-style hip-hop to the masses.
