J. Cole returns with yet another visual from his album ’2014 Forest Hills Drive’. This time he shoots one for the self produced track ‘Wet Dreamz’. J Cole gets really creative in this video and brings you something that you definitely don't expect. I expected a soft porno but this is so much better.
Gangsta Gibbs at it again! Gibbs been the voice of gangsta rap for a few years now. Dude is a beast. He posted a new and pretty bizarre video in support of the title track off of his recent EP, Pronto. The video shows Gibbs, sans shirt, in a bathtub that’s loaded with snakes.
I've been posting a few movie trailers on the blog lately and here's one more that looks scary as hell! Here’s the official synopsis for THE VISIT: "Writer/director/producer M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable) and producer Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, The Purge and Insidious series) welcome you to Universal Pictures’ The Visit. Shyamalan returns to his roots with the terrifying story of a brother and sister who are sent to their grandparents’ remote Pennsylvania farm for a weeklong trip. Once the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in something deeply disturbing, they see their chances of getting back home are growing smaller every day."
JOHNNY DEPP is that one actor who inspires the hell out of me. Retrospectively, he is a genius considering his ability to completely transform himself, like a chameleon, for any role and deliver like no other. Case in point...his role in Director Scott Cooper's (Out of the Furnace and Crazy Heart) third feature-length film, BLACK MASS, where Depp plays Whitey Bulger, one of the most violent criminals in US history turned FBI information. Check out the trailer. You're not going to recognize Depp.
Global Grind writes, "With only (10) days left until the Kickstarter to record their eighth studio album ends, De La Soul teams up with Nas on a new jam titled “God It.” The hip-hop collective’s been recording non-stop in Atlanta, and decided to offer up the G_Force-produced song as a token of appreciation. Unfortunately, “God It” won’t appear on De La Soul’s forthcoming album, but the collaboration is an “indication of good music to come.” Initially, De La Soul was only asking fans for help crowdfunding $110,000 to record their album, but thankfully, the legendary group surpassed their goal and raised a whopping $472,000. De La Soul’s forthcoming album will feature guest appearances by 2 Chainz, Damon Albarn, and Little Dragon."
I was a little afraid when I heard Eminem was going to attempt to be on a song with the vicious TECH 9... I thought Eminem wouldn't be able to handle it. But damn! It's official. Nobody can f*ck with Shady. Holy sh*t!!
The "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer is epic on so many levels! I love that they are paying homage to "The Dark Knight Returns pt. 2", but in the reverse fashion of Superman being a threat rather than Batman. It's all about Intimidation. Who intimidates who. Also Ben Afflecks's voice is just perfect. It has that beautiful echoing effect which is great. That line absolute power corrupts absolutely was classic. Also hearing Alfred Pennyworth's voice was amazing, not sure but I feel I saw Batman in a Temple maybe The Temple of Zeus. This 'leaked' version of the first trailer is a bit blurry (bootlegged), but it still gives you a good glimpse at what you can expect from next year’s massive Batman v. Superman collision. This superhero blockbuster has a March 25, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto in new character roles for the film. Justice League is to follow directed by Zack Snyder as well
Ok, so this is the bootlegged trailer for Taratino's 8th film, "THE H8FUL EIGHT" because it was leaked and removed off of youtube, vevo, etc. Esquire magazine writes, "Set to a clubby remix of the Stooges' "Gimme Danger," Quentin Tarantino's spot for his eighth film, the highly-anticipated Hateful Eight, feels as dangerous and bloody as anything he's ever done. Despite the lack of any real footage, viewers can easily guess what's in store from this teaser, which has been showing in theaters and is now online: an impressive roster of talent, including frequent collaborators Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, and Samuel L. Jackson; an epic, punk-leaning soundtrack; and a blood-spattered spectacle set in the Civil War era. Giddy up." The film is set to be released some time in 2015.
Rap-Up writes, "Over three years after releasing the song, Jay Z premieres the video for the live orchestral rehearsal version of “Glory,” The Neptunes-produced dedication to his daughter Blue Ivy. The sentimental clip, which premiered on TIDAL, incorporates footage from the rap mogul’s rehearsal sessions for his 2012 benefit shows at Carnegie Hall for the Shawn Carter Foundation. In between rehearsing with his band and a full orchestra, the proud papa shows cell phone photos of his “greatest creation” to some of his famous friends including Alicia Keys, Nas, and Bridget Kelly."
RIHANNA drops a raw politically charged video for "American Oxygen" with visuals featuring footage from 9/11, the Ferguson protests, the Civil Rights movement, and more. Check it out.
