J COLE Tells Us “Happiness Is Attainable” (Video Clip) via @lisafordblog

I'm posting this short video of J COLE on the Angie Martinez Power 105.1 fm radio show because what's he's saying truly resonates with me and has shifted my way of thinking. In our quest to achieve and to reach are greatest heights, gratitude is the best attitude. Shout out to J COLE for being one of my favorite leaders of the new school.

J COLE – “False Prophets (Be Like This)” VIDEO via @lisafordblog

Factmag: J. Cole will release his surprise-announced album 4 Your Eyez Only next week, but in a preview featured in the album’s new documentary Eyez, he appears to diss Kanye West and Drake on a track titled ‘False Prophets’, MissInfo points out. “Ego in charge of every move, he’s a star / And we can’t look away due to the days when he caught our hearts,” he raps in one line. “He’s falling apart but we deny it / Justifying the half-assed shit he drop, we always buy it.”

J. COLE – “Wet Dreamz” (Music Video) via @lisafordblog

J. Cole returns with yet another visual from his album ’2014 Forest Hills Drive’. This time he shoots one for the self produced track ‘Wet Dreamz’. J Cole gets really creative in this video and brings you something that you definitely don't expect. I expected a soft porno but this is so much better.

KENDRICK LAMAR Freestyles to Notorious B.I.G. Classics! (VIDEO) & Album Cover Art via @lisafordblog

"Democrips and Rebloodicans. Sick Kenny, sick.," one youtuber wrote after viewing this video. A video that serves as proof that KENDRICK LAMAR defines Hip Hop through and through. And right now, Hip-Hop is blessed. Kendrick and Wale will come out with releases in the same month. It's good to see this happen with all the trash that's been killing Hip Hop last year. J Cole got that last second drop which pretty much announced real hip hop is back. Sean dropped last month. Kendrick's and Wale's albums drop this month. If only Drake's new album/mixtape wasn't trash. Hopefully Macklemore don't go completely pop either like his singles. If his new album is like the rest of the stuff on 'The Heist' that would be great. Also included in this blog post is the artwork from KENDRICK's upcoming album, "To Pimp A Butterfly." Already slated to be a classic album, it drops March 23rd.

KENDRICK LAMAR – The Blacker The Berry (Audio) via @lisafordblog

Congrats KENDRICK LAMAR for winning two Grammy for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance! Well deserved. Some people are saying that his fresh new track, "The Blacker The Berry", is about Kendrick calling out hypocrisy of black people. Others are saying it was about calling out white racism...hmmm you be the judge.

J COLE’s – “Intro” (Music Video) and Full Album Stream via @lisafordblog

"J. .Cole in one word - Amazing, I liked about 98% of sideline and BS and don't even get me started on his great mixtapes...I'm glad he didnt detour from the path he's been on over the years and I see people talking about how he should branch out and do this or that but there's an old saying: "If it ain't broke dont fix it". I'm not saying he's a living reincarnation of Mozart as a rapper (yet), but he damn sure is one of the best rappers alive right now that will go down in history as one of the greats if not one of the best...shit like future, young thug, migos, rae shurmmard (whatever), Bobby shurmda etc ain't gon be remembered for much cus lets be real they make "turn up" music, here today and gone tomorrow as history does repeat itself. But I won't sit here and flex like I don't listen to them, I'm just saying they aren't built to last" - a comment from youtube...and I concur.

J COLE’s Amazing NPR Interview – “Ain’t Enough Of Us Trying” (Audio) via @lisafordblog

J COLE tweeted a couple of hours ago... "2 important things for you to watch and listen to today. Angie interview NPR interview". So that's exactly what I did. This blog post includes the audio and printed interview between J COLE and "Microphone Check" hosts Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Frannie Kelley on NPR, the day after his third and much-anticipated album, "2014 Forest Hills Drive", was released. It's a long interview, but the best interview Cole has ever did. A lot of folks in the Hip Hop community already consider Cole's new album an instant classic. And I tend to agree. I HIGHLY recommend everyone get thia album in a physical copy. It'll be a staple for years to come.

DRAKE vs. KENDRICK LAMAR – Rap Battle (Animated Cartoon) Hilarious!

This is what the world has been waiting for!! Drake Vs Kendrick Lamar Battle Rap On KOTD's Battle League. This is so hilarious yet realisitic as f*ck! You'll see other characters in the background such as Nicki Minaj, Birdman, Bow Wow, and Khaled on Drake's side. And in King Kendrick's corner, you'll notice ASAP Rocky, The Game, Tyler The Creator, and even J. Cole standing behind the announcer. This is an excellent presentation with the animated Drake sounding better than the real Drake. The verses Kendrick drops sound like exactly like lyrics he would say. This video makes you hunger for a REAL BATTLE now. Watch...

J COLE ft. TLC- “Cooked Smile” (Music Video)

J COLE continues to captivate the rap music industry dropping new visuals for his Billboard Top 40 hit, "Crooked Smile" off of his critically-acclaimed, "Born Sinner" album. "Cooked Smile" offers a powerful message within itself, but Cole takes the video deeper, delving into the real life story of Aiyana Jones, a 7 year girl who was accidentally shot by the DEA in Detroit. The messages in the song and video differ, but he used the popularity of the song to get the video viewed and get his message across to the millions anticipating the video. It's an amazing concept and a great tribute. And it's always nice to see artists use their platform for good; Thank you J. Cole.
