I am so proud of AMARA LA NEGRA for jumping into the entertainment scene full force through her saucy style and breakout role on 'Love and Hip Hop Miami'. Amara La Negra has released the video for "What a Bam Bam," directed by Montoya el Duro, which follows La Negra through a festive Miami pool party. “What a Bam Bam” samples Sister Nancy’s classic dancehall staple “Bam Bam,” a savvy intergenerational hat tip to another afro-diasporic pioneer, says remezcla.com. And now we have access to the audio for La Negra's newest single, "Insecure", which shows off the soft side of her musicality.

Famed Cocaine Cowboy about to get out of prison — but now faces deportation ride to Cuba. Miami Herald: Willie Falcon, who together with high school pal Sal Magluta, helped turn Miami into the country's cocaine capital in the 1970s and '80s, is scheduled to be released from prison on Saturday after serving most of a 20-year prison sentence for money laundering. But Falcon, 61, won't become a free man and won't be coming home to Miami. As soon as he leaves the custody of a Kentucky federal prison, Falcon will be detained by immigration authorities and transferred to a detention facility in Louisiana or Alabama.
ARTIST_LR reaches out to the consciousness of rap music lovers with unapologetic politicism and romanticism. His music is definitely not an on-the-surface, bland-sounding experiment. It contains messages about surviving in the face of hardship and the battling against societal underestimation. ARTIST_LR digs deep with blunted-swing sophistication through raw lyricism accompanied by harmonic beats that will haunt your brain cells. His upcoming project is an intimidating epic anchored with brutal honesty and sophistication.

NBC6: Across South Florida, the death of former Cuban leader Fidel Castro is being met with a sense of celebration from memebrs of the exile community. Castro, who spent nearly five decades ruling the country after launching a military takeover in 1959, died Friday night at the age of 90. His death was announced on Cuban television by his brother, Raul - who took over as leader of the nation when Fidel Castro stepped down in 2006. Hundreds of Cuban Americans crowded to the roads in Hialeah and Little Havana to celebrate the demise of the father of communist Cuba.
One of the sickest songs out right now is “Heathens” by Twenty One Pilots off of the “Suicide Squad” movie soundtrack. The track is haunting, the lyrics are provocative, and it’s definitely an instant cult classic. So it would take a lyricist a lot of gull and courage to remix a song with nearly half a billion Youtube hits, but this didn’t stop Miami native, STICHES, from pulling off the task. Watch the official music video for ‘The Streets (Heathens Remix)’ by Stitches, produced by @jimmyduvalmusic and co-produced by @bizzythowed. Stitches throws a killer twist plot twist the original.
Let's send a special shoutout to TDE artist, SCHOOLBOY Q, for taking part in assisting South Florida in restoring one of our treasured venues. The National Trust for Historic Preservation, in collaboration with Heineken USA and Indiegogo, conducted crowdfunding campaign to raise money to restore Miami Marine Stadium. The campaign, that aimed to begin restoration on the Virginia Key landmark, which has seen artists from the Beach Boys to Ray Charles, solicited SCHOOLBOY Q and ISAIAH RASHAD, to perform at the Fillmore Miami Beach last week September 29. Everyone in the audience donated to the cause and was able to attend one of the dopest Hip Hop shows ever.
