Famed Fashion Designer and proud Sponsor of LisaFordBlog.com, SHY FIGARO, took a brave journey to Haiti shortly after that Notorious Earthquake to face ground-zero head-on, and to offer his organization's help and resources. The video footage you are about to see may be graphic to some audiences because it portrays the raw devestation that Haiti continues to struggle with. I post this story in hopes that you will continue to keep Haiti in your hearts and never forget that they need still need our help. After the jump is my interview with Shy Figaro who speaks on the horror he witnesses and his thoughts on Wyclef's efforts…

My organization F.A.N. (Figaro Angel Network) has been helping Haiti since 2009. After the Jan. 12th, 2010 earthquake in Haiti, F.A.N. became even more active on sending doctors, nurses, food and medical supplies. But I always felt skeptical and wondered if the supplies were properly getting to the people who are really in need. So this quest is about me, not as a fashion designer but, as an ordinary man from Florida leaving his family and life behind to follow his heart on a mission to his native country Haiti, to make a difference after the tremendous January 12th Earthquake.     SHY FIGARO~

LISA: What was the most heart-wrenching scene you witnessed in Haiti and is there any hope for that particular situation?

SHY FIGARO: Small children are forced to sleep standing up when it rains to avoid becoming drenched. In Delma #33 at the hospital (L’Hopital De La Paix) I saw many kids 18 to 20 years old girls and boys with both legs cut off, they couldn’t sleep at night from the intense pain. I looked around entire hospital and there were no doctors or nurses to be found.
