About
About LisaFordBlog.com
I’m Lisa Ford, a writer and visual artist based in San Francisco, with roots in Miami. LisaFordBlog.com is the home of my writing on music, film, art, and culture—and the place where my independent creative projects come together.
With hip-hop at its core, the blog features artist interviews, music history, film coverage, photography, and commentary on current events. My interests guide what I cover: an album that deserves another listen, a film that reveals something about a city, an artist whose work demands attention, or a cultural moment worth examining more closely.
That curiosity also drives the work I create beyond the blog. Through independent publishing, podcasting, fiction, and visual art, I explore different ways to tell a story and connect with an audience. You can discover those projects here.
Hip Hop Orgy Magazine
Hip Hop Orgy is my independent magazine devoted to music, visual art, and cultural conversation. Rooted in hip-hop and open to other genres, the publication brings together essays, artist histories, and expressive imagery. It’s a space to spend more time with the music, the people who make it, and the questions their work raises.
Visit Hip Hop Orgy on Substack to read the magazine and subscribe for future issues.
Murder Mondays Podcast
Murder Mondays explores true crime, horror storytelling, and stories drawn from personal experience. It’s the audio side of my work, where unsettling cases, unexpected encounters, and suspenseful narratives take shape through my voice.
Listen on Spotify and follow the show for new episodes.
Vampire Universe
Vampire Universe is my original world of vampire characters, visual art, and horror fiction, created under my artist name, False Vampire. The project brings my writing and artwork together through illustrated stories, short visual episodes, and digital releases that reveal the lives and secrets of its characters.
Explore the universe, meet the characters, and discover the latest stories and products.
