ARETHA FRANKLIN – “Young, Gifted, & Black” (Music Video) RIP #QueenOfSoul
Aretha Franklin’s rendition of Nina Simone’s “Young Gifted and Black” is a mighty, important, and swinging song by the queen of soul herself. I’m posting it as a tribute to the Queen who passed away today and was called home to heaven.
On Twitter, President Obama said it perfectly, “Aretha helped define the American experience. In her voice, we could feel our history, all of it and in every shade—our power and our pain, our darkness and our light, our quest for redemption and our hard-won respect. May the Queen of Soul rest in eternal peace.”

Aretha was just 76 years old and she will be greatly missed. When I heard her version of “Young, Gifted, & Black”, it brought tears to my eyes. I will never stopped playing it as it has a profound feeling in my Soul. Its records like this that makes Aretha the Queen. It just moves me and I hope future generations would listen to this song.
