BARACK OBAMA – “Hope” The Musical
PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA’S STORY IMMORTALIZED ON STAGE!!!
A new musical about the 2008 presidential election featuring the characters of Barack Obama, John McCain and Sarah Palin is set to open this weekend in Germany.
The story starts 20 years ago, when Obama worked as a community organizer in Chicago, and leads all the way to the 2008 campaign. The musical will have its premiere next Sunday, January 13th. It dramatizes President Obama’s rise to office through songs and dance numbers. Thirty singers, actors and dancers will perform in the production, which opens in Frankfurt, Germany, with the possibility of a tour.
Set in Obama’s hometown of Chicago and viewed through the eyes of a group of people who share an apartment, the musical tries to show how Obama’s campaign gave people at the time hope for change and belief in a better future. According the the LA Times , The musical, titled “Hope — the Obama Musical Story,” is a bilingual production that will be performed in a mix of English and German.
