Kelis vs. Rihanna

KELIS ACCUSES RHIANNA OF BITING HER STYLE!!

There are certainly similarities between Rhianna and Kelis, but I beleive that Kelis should have realized that it’s not all about provocative images/marketing. Although I am a huge fan of Kelis, I was never tempted to purchase her records. Her image should have been backed up with better music / production. Rhianna’s Umbrella and Disturbia is what sets her apart.

If Kelis want to talk about biting syles, then technically you can say that she bit off of legendary drummer, Shelia E. So for musicians, I think it’s less about style and more about the music. But if the two (style/music) fit hand-in-hand like a glove, then that’s a big plus for us music lovers.
