Originally published in PLATIUNUM MAGAZINE in the Fall of 2001, a month after her plane crash, the story saddened the entire Universe. It effected me deeply because at that time, i was around her age, AND I grew up on her music. My favorite Aaliyah hit of all time (besides Age Ain’t Nothin’ But a Number, cause that hit made us feel really Hot!!) was BACK & FORTH! This hit truly captured the state of our Hip Hop culture. Just a hot ass club banger that made you feel good no matter what was going on in your life. I’ve included the video.
