Mo’Nique Wins Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes !!

Mo’Nique won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Precious. Mo’Nique immediately thanked her husband – who she met when she was just 14 – God, the cast, and all those who lived in abusive situations.

She came a long way from her humble roots of as a stand-up comedian…and although she’s one of the original Queens of comedy, this award demonstrates her ability to fully portray a serious and difficult character which takes a tremendous amount of talent.

Usually, when an actress wins the Golden Globe, it is an indication that they will take home the Oscar too.  With Monique’s performance, she is certainly Oscar worthy.
