SCARFACE – {The Deleted Scene}

I'm watching SCARFACE again for about the 1000th time. Until someone makes a film somewhat of an equvalent to the intensity delivered in this power flick, I will always replay Al Pacino when I'm in my gangster mood. I find it ironic that the deleted the scene is one that foreshadows what ultimately happens at the end of the movie. Foreshadowing in a huge element in filmmaking that Directors and Writers use as a the ultimate storytelling tool. They usually try to study the audience's ability to identify scenes like this, but in this case…it was deleted.

I personally think SCARFACE is one of those movies where nothing should have been left out, no matter how insuffient the Director thought it was…as he should have projected SCARFACE to be an iconic American film before its release. I also posted this video because I thought it was pretty cool to see the Director's cut from BEHIND the scenes.
