Retrospectively, he is a genius considering his ability to completely transform himself, like a chameleon, for any role and deliver like no other. Case in point...his role in Director Scott Cooper's (Out of the Furnace and Crazy Heart) third feature-length film, BLACK MASS, where Depp plays Whitey Bulger, one of the most violent criminals in US history turned FBI information.
