Jill Scott is one of the great poets and musicians of our generation. She has millions of lovers and followers of her music! I had the pleasure of seeing Jill perform live at the  7th annual Jazz In The Gardens Music Festival (2012) in Miami Gardens, FL.

First off, let me give you a little background about Jazz In The Gardens. You’re talking about nearly 50k happy people from all over the country coming out two days in a row to hear REAL MUSIC from some of the biggest giants in the industry. It was unbelievable to see artists like Patti Labelle, Kenny G, Kem, Doug E Fresh, and Mary J Blige (just to name a few) all on the SAME stage with LIVE BANDS on the beautiful grounds of the Sun Life Stadium, with perfect South Florida weather. Certainly heaven on Earth if you could imagine it.

One of the most animated of the performers was the sultry, multi-talented  Jill Scott. This woman is ammmmaaaaaaaazzzzzziiiinnnggg. Her groove is like no other and she always moves your soul with her sound & creativity. And during this performance, she did just that.

The audience was mesmerized by Jill Scott’s charisma and understood that they were experiencing a surreal moment in music history. I personally just stood there with my mouth wide opened! I couldn’t believe I was witnessing an icon an action!

The massive audience gravitated towards Jill Scott. She commanded everybody to fell good and reflect. It was almost as if you were watching your sister sing directly to you about the ways of life and the secrets to a happy soul. If you missed this spellbinding live performance, then you should definitely make plans to come out for Jazz In The Gardens going down as usual in March (of 2013). I’m sure that the line-up will be just as hardcore as proven in the past. To learn more or to find out about previous lineups, log on to JazzInTheGardens.com
