This video is a portrayal of Biggie’s “Warning” from his “Ready To Die” album, and it’s funny as hell! It’s the first of six episodes of , “THE SMALLS FAMILY” – an experimental comedy based on the timeless lyrics Biggie. THE SMALLS FAMILY strives to pay homage to Biggie’s incomparable language….while refreshing it to a new audience. Biggie is still a hell of an influence!

As I listen to the audio of Clippers owner, DONALD STERLING, explain is negative views towards black people, I’m wondering how a man of his stature and wealth, can be so primal in his logic and thinking. Sterling says, and I’m paraphrasing here, that In Israel, black people are inferior for a reason unknown to him and he’s obligated to follow his culture’s beliefs and support their harsh treatment of Black Jews.

Sterling requested that his mistress, VANESSA STIVIANO, remove all of her photos of black people from her Instagram, including MAGIC JOHNSON, but she could keep MATT KEMP because he is “mixed race”.

I can not believe that I’m even reporting on a story like this in the 21st century. But according to Sterling, we should be thanking him, because he “feeds & clothes” these NBA players…um dafuq!! He speaks like a Slavemaster.

“Born into a musical multi-cultural family and raised in Los Angeles, CA, MILA J, born Jamila Chilombo, is one of four siblings. She got her first taste of the music world when she appeared in Prince’s 1991 video for the song, ‘Diamonds and Pearls’. With her first love being music, and being from such a musically inclined background, Mila decided to take a new journey in life and begin a solo career after giving girl groups a try. Her first official debut album, M.I.L.A. (Made In Los Angeles) is slated for an August 2014 release. The first single, “Smoke, Drink, Break-Up,” is a sultry, slow-grooving hook-laced song about a dysfunctional relationship.” – iHeartRadio

RICO LOVE is being hard on the ladies in “B*tches Be Like”, yet he’s telling the truth. This is one of realest song out right now and it’s good to see a man who’ve written so many songs for other famous musicians like Usher, branch out and release his own hits. “B*tches Be Like” is off of Love’s “Discrete Luxury” EP.

Last night history was made in California at the 2014 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Friday. OUTKAST, one of Hip Hop’s best duos of all time, reunited for the first time in 8 years giving us a taste of the old school hip hop that made them kings of the world. Andre 3000 and Big Boi, kicked things off with “B.O.B” from their 2000 album “Stankonia,” before taking it back to the 1990s with singles such as “ATLiens”, “Ms. Jackson”, and last but not least, “Hey Ya”.

I took a small hiatus from blogging, suffering from writer’s block. I had a lot of things going on and the past week or so has been chaotic. As I was preparing for another busy day, I overheard J Lo’s “Girls” on Music Choice TV. I’m not a huge Jennifer Lopez fan, but this song goes hard..Thought I’d share it with you.

I’m pleasantly surprised. KING JAMES of the Miami Heat goes HARD on this track off of JAY Z’s “Magna Carta, Holy Grail” album. Check him out!

I’ve been sitting on pins and needles for YEARS waiting on the new episode of the critically-acclaimed, politically-theme animated show, THE BOONDOCKS. Recently it was announced that the show’s writer and Creator, AARON MCGRUDER, is not involved in the new and final season. I’m worried. I hope that the one who’s running things now does not elude from the controversial topics or water down the principles that made this show popular and relevant. By the looks of the preview, I think it’s still gonna be pretty funny.

I just had to share this brilliant rendition of BEYONCE’s “Drunk In Love” performed by “The Mad Violinist” aka the incredible ASHANTI FLOYD. He made this song beyond beautiful and solidified his presence as an emerging talent who might quite well slide into any genre of music that he pleases. As I play this video over and over again, Floyd makes me wish that I never stopped playing the violin. His interpretation of “Drunk In Love” is passionate and inspiring, to say the least.

Any way you slice it, CHRIS BROWN’s ‘Loyal’ is hot! The choreography is on point and the video also includes cameos from Trey Songz and Ty Dolla $ign, and Usher. “Loyal” is off Brown’s upcoming album X, which features guest spots from Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, and a duet with Adriana Grande. The new album is set to be released on May 5th.

Where has LISA FORD been these past few weeks? … Oh that’s easy…I’ve been partying my ass off at some of the nation’s biggest and best music festivals throughout this whole month. MARCH MADNESS begins for the last week of the month on the blog where I’ll be posting several stories about the JAZZ IN THE GARDENS music festival in Miami Gardens, Florida, and a few other happenings that went down.

Congratulations to Kenyan actress, the radiant Lupita Nyongo. The “12 Years A Slave” star took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, beating out big names Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, June Squibb and Sally Hawkins, for her portrayal of Patsey, a favored but abused slave in the Steve McQueen-directed drama. Take a look at her acceptance speech in case you missed it. “No matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid” – Lupita

California rapper, DOM KENNEDY, makes music you can’t skip and “STILL CALLIN” is proof. He dropped his 2nd album titled, “Get Home Safely” back in October, which soundly represents the West Coast in the high-stakes hip hop arena. “Still Callin” is a great choice for your IPOD hip hop mix because it has that slow-roasting beat with a haunting treble line sprinkled over deep bass. This sh*t Bang.. I have this song on constant repeat.

SCHOOLBOY Q’s “Break The Bank (Explicit)” is off of his much anticipated album, “OXYMORON” which is set for release Feb. 25th.
